Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SubbyTax, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service Description
SubbyTax provides tools for UK main contractors to manage Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) subcontractors, calculate CIS deductions, generate payment statements, produce monthly summaries, and prepare handover packs for accountants. We are not an accountant, payroll bureau, or HMRC-approved tax agent.
3. User Accounts & Accuracy
You are responsible for maintaining accurate business details, subcontractor records, and pay-run data in your account. CIS tax calculations and reports depend on the information you enter. SubbyTax does not verify UTRs, bank details, or HMRC registration status.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SubbyTax for unlawful purposes, to upload malicious files, to impersonate others, or to attempt to access data belonging to another user. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
During the beta trial, selected paid plans may be unlocked at no charge. When billing begins, subscription fees are charged in advance, exclude VAT unless stated, and are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel or downgrade from your Account page.
6. Intellectual Property
SubbyTax, its logo, code, and content are the property of SubbyTax or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
SubbyTax is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from inaccurate data entry, missed HMRC deadlines, incorrect CIS calculations, or inability to access the service. You remain solely responsible for submitting accurate CIS300 returns and payments to HMRC.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SubbyTax after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
